Nancy E. Masters has worked in the field of fingerprint identification for more than thirty-five years. She has taught and participated in curriculum development for courses in Latent Print Techniques, Specialized Latent Print Techniques, and Latent Print Comparisons, courses which are presented by the Department of Justice's California Criminalistics institute. She has served as the Safety Officer for the Bureau of Forensic Services' Special Forensic Sections.She assisted in the writing of Californis's first Clandestine Laboratory Manual of Instruction and Procedures.
Ms. Masters has received numerous awards and recognitions in her career which are listed in her CURRICULUM VITAE. One of her more recent awards is the pretigeous John A. Dondero Memorial Award
Ms Masters has been published internationally as well as presnted papers at forensic conferences and international symposiums in the United States and Israel. She has instructed evidence and property room personnel thoughout the United States in safety related issues. She continues to give consultations in latent print technologies and safety and conducts latent print examinations of casework in private practice.
Nancy E. Masters is a Distinguished Member in the International Association for Identification where she served as Chair and Committee Consultant on the Safety Committee. She is also a long-standing member of the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Forensic Identification. As a past member of the California Division of that organization, she was appointed to serve on the Ethics Committee and Science and Practices Committee. Currently, Nancy is a member of the Pacific Northwest Division of the International Association for Identification. Additionally, Ms. Masters is a Fellow of the Fingerprint Society of Great Britain. |
